Diving Gloves

I need something to keep my hands dry and warm in winter and someone told me he had a pair of diving gloves, would they keep my hands warm in freezing conditions? What kind should I do?

I recommend the cotton gloves under your generic rubber gloves. Your hands will most likely begin to sweat, but you'll be warm.

I would not recommend neoprene gloves for washing windows. As a diver I can tell you from experience that the combination as well as keep you warm in the water can make you cold water, sometimes colder than if you were wearing nothing. This is because the outer layer of nylon stays wet longer than your skin is, and if there is wind, the cooling caused by evaporation can relax throughout the insulation. You better use a tool waterproof possibly gloves rubberized fabric. Better yet, you might want to get winter gloves for special purposes, such as at the bottom of the page on the link below.

Sorry, they do not contribute, combination work gloves by alowing a thin layer of water in which the body warms and keeps you warm for some time, what you want is somthing like gloves dry suit for diving , or other water sports, some even come with a fleece lining, the cost may be a bit much for the use you put them too much

good idea, but try to use cotton gloves, as we will keep you warm even when wet.Old time scuba divers used to wear a "woolly-bear" in virtue of their skin wet suits.

I would look to get a good game for window cleaning, but you can get a whole "Dry gloves" that have a joint in the wrist and keep your hands dry and therefore warm. Available from all suppliers drysuit. Try Northern Diver or DUI.
