To all you firefighters out there - what kind of gear you want as a gift? ? My brother-brother is a fireman and I would fetch him some fresh material. I know nothing about the fight against fires. I've seen some suggestions helmet lamps and gloves extrication. Would you be happy to do one of these? Please help!
I would prefer something that I would not use on calls. Anything you use on stage must be exactly what you want. There are many variations on each piece of equipment that may affect whether it will be comfortable with it or not. The tools are selected based on your personal preferences. Not a tool for everyone.
For example, the lights are on the helmet as varied as can be. They range from $ 20 to hundreds of dollars. I use one on the cheap side (30-40 dollars), but that's exactly what I need. Low profile, under board, switch cap. other guys like Streamlight for 150, but to me they look like a snag waiting to happen.
Extrication gloves are often provided by the department and if they are not more likely, he got himself if rescue work to justify having them. Like the guy said above, it's probably got everything he could want after so long.
I suggest something other than tools. T-shirts, memorabilia, collectibles, something like that. I would appreciate something like this on any tool.
Good luck.
it is really difficult to find a good gift it would ... Most of the things that should already have .... My dad was a firefighter feeling I was 2 and I'm almost there ... Maybe make him something that fight against fire related??? That's what my mother told me my father normally ... As shirts from other fire departments??? But if u will get him something like a light Helmi sure it's not cheap and shitty ... The last thing you want is killed in a fire that does not work ... Christmas Good luck and get married
