Bonsai trees (miniature replicas of large trees) have been a source of beauty and terror into the private gardens and arboreta public for decades. The size of the final presentation pouch should match the aesthetics of what you see in the final product. In addition, containers should be used for training during the growth or the formation of plants to achieve the desired final shape. Training containers hold several plants and require a large volume of soil. The largest volume of soil allows the roots to grow more freely during the training phase and created as a root system of tree health. If you are only growing a bonsai tree, the pouch containing the final presentation and training can be the same.

You can always pay for maintaining the tree, but the enjoyment for me has always been in the work and the feeling of accomplishment. Growth / training a bonsai requires patience and commitment to a long-term. Years can be spent in training and, possibly, maintenance of your bonsai, but there is time.
