Custom Made Mountain Bikes Almost everyone wants to feel an individual, and have their own particular needs met, whether a road biker or a mountain bike. So if you want to customize or tailor it is a bike there for you.
If you plan to get a customized mountain bike, there are several factors you should consider.
Frankly, the typical weekend biker does not really need a custom bicycle. As long as you buy your bike at a bike shop where they can help you out with, you will do very well.
But for really serious bikers who speed is all - professionals and amateurs the most passionate, the custom bicycle is something to consider.
Customization in relation
The terminology of "customization" can be confusing. People use the words interchangeably, when they are two different things.
One measure is the bike that takes an off-shelf framework, and puts on the seat you want, a stem of the right height, a crankset with pedals you can reach easily, etc.
A customized bike is one in which the framework itself is built exactly to your needs.
Basically, when we speak of customized bikes - or rather a custom bicycle - it speaks of the frame. You send along your measurements to the manufacturer - length of foot to knee, knee to pelvis, torso, overall height and they construct the framework of these measures in mind. They then set the rest of the stuff - the high-end tires, brakes and levers you need, the crank assembly, and then you are ready to go.

Easy customization - the paint job
There are other ways to customize bike, of course, if I have not seen many people do. Why not give them a stylized paint job like you see on lowriders? Mountain bike course used to actually descend from the mountains (as opposed to those used for skiing or even road bikes) take some beating and can be scratched, but most of motorcycles, a mural painted by hand on their bike can be quite attractive. Why let the crowd lowriding all the fun? The only reason why I have not painted my own bike in orange and black tiger stripes is because I know I do not have the skills necessary to remove it - but if you have any artistic talent at all, why not do it?
Bicycle technology is improving all the time, manufacturers are working to the highest executive of the lightest materials. So keep an eye on the review sections of your favorite magazine bike, as he will keep you informed of what's happening in the world of cycling.
