I'm a rectangular frame made of PVC, and I want to attach a piece of cloth for him. How do I do that? I am a canopy to put personal on me when I'm sitting in the sun or rain. I have the framework in the form of a rectangle. I have a broken canopy of an old EZ-Up that I want to cut and join the upper part of the PVC frame. There are no holes eylet to use on the canopy. What is the best way to attach it to the PVC?
Velcro is probably the way forward for this application.
Velcro is an industrial power and would be perfect for this project. You can buy Velcro in half and half. This means that half that goes on PVC is self-adhesive and half who travel on the portion of the cover is sewn on. You can not sew with a strip of Velcro sticky because the gum needle and thread breaks. And a self adhesive Velcro strip will not be stable over the canopy as it will eventually withdraw.
I used this method to make my children a strong outside and it worked
perfectly.
First measurement of the fabric so that it winds around the sub section of PVC. This will keep water from running inside the cabin. Secure the seam on the half of the canopy over the padding to all the places that wrap around the PVC.
Then attach a section of the adhesive Velcro on the bottom frame of the hood. To do this, attach the canopy. Then, stretch the other end of the canopy to the frame in front until tight. Mark the PVC placement of Velcro and attach the rest of the self-adhesive velcro for a snug fit.
I hope this suggestion works for you
you could drill some holes in the PVC pipe thread and fishing line through the canopy, and attach
Simply use self-tapping screws to drill through the material in PVC
Velcro buy at any craft supply store like AC Plus and use it.
You can buy the kit punch eyelet. It is delivered with a punch, hammer, brass eyelets.
then you string through each eyelet and tie around the pipe
which are superb!
