Oakley Half WireDesigner Sunglasses - Learn about the different brands

There are now many brands of sunglasses that have evolved either in their own right, such as Ray Ban or Oakley, or have been created as an accessory for fashion brands like Gucci and Versace etc. This article examines origins of these different designer brands, going back to their roots and discover how they were first created and grew in the famous brands of street fashion that we all want to wear. Learn more about Oakley, Rayban, Dolce and Gabbana Diesel, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Prada, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger.

1. Oakley

Oakley is mostly known for their quality sunglasses and ski goggles, and was founded by Jim Jannard California, USA in 1975, where he developed handles motorcycle and then sold them at motocross events. He called them "The Oakley Grip", and were very different from any other grips riders had been using. In 1980, he moved on to goggles and sunglasses, and is now a world leader in innovative design, creating new and exciting products.

UV protection against shocks

Plutonite is used for all Oakley lenses. It is made of polycarbonate, making the lenses lightweight, offering superior comfort, clarity and protection against ultraviolet radiation and shock resistance. In fact, this impact resistant material blocks 100% UVA, UVB and UVC. The protection is formulated into the lens material, as opposed to a thin film layer of ice that can be scratched, leaving dilated pupils exposure to ultraviolet radiation leaks. Shielding has nothing to do with darkness or color of the lens, so that even clear non-tinted Oakley lenses will still provide full protection against UV.

Offer wrapped around, raked-back design of Oakley eyewear extra protection by blocking UV from the periphery. The lens materials and frame geometries of Oakley sunglasses deliver unsurpassed protection against high-speed and impact of large mass.

Iridium lens coatings

It is a uniform filtering layer that optimizes contrast and reduces glare, created by overheated metallic oxides are fused to the lens at the molecular level, permanently bonding the lens. Tuned to transmit 9-92% of available light, the coatings are specially formulated for optimal balance between reflection, transmission and absorption.

Polarization

Each pair of Oakley polarized sunglasses achieves 99.9% efficiency in blocking polarized light waves. Light flood is caused by light waves bouncing off flat surfaces and water, and can be up to 10 times brighter than ambient light. With Oakley polarized lenses you'll definitely keep the sun from impeding your vision.

Oakley polarization technology surpasses industry standards for clarity, performance and durability. Common techniques of incorporating polarization in films of the lenses by lamination (using adhesive to sandwich the film between the layers of the target) and place of training (sandwich then heating and pressing the shapes of curves level) can cause blur and optical distortions. Oakley uses an injection molding process to infuse the lens material through the filter. This merger creates liquid bonding at the molecular level, allowing the filter to achieve the highest possible level of performance.

Hydrophobic (water repellent)

The hydrophobic lenses repel water, oil perspiration and dust. Liquids simply bead off the lens surface without a trace, and all liquids that do not slide the lens by gravity can be more easily wiped away than with other brands of art
