Potato Peeling Gloves

I bought a pair of orange peel potato gloves. They are manufactured in China.
Do you think they may have resulted in them?
Are they working?

I saw where they showed those and many other things on a morning show and that one did not work. They said it takes less time and effort to use a potato peeler.
