My answer to both Catalina Island and the glasses.

I do not know of any online sites to buy reading glasses. But if you only need for reading glasses with 1.25, 1.50 or higher magnification, you do not need to buy online.

You can buy them for as little as one dollar to dollar store. I was with my two BFFS past and we were literally talking about this subject. One of them just bought a nice pair of plastic at Michael's Arts and Crafts for $ 1. We were at Wal-Mart last night and they were only $ 7 to $ 9 for the gentiles. You can buy reading glasses regularly comes standard with almost any pharmacy. They are usually about $ 12 to $ 15. Dr. Dean Edell (spelling) sells his own brand that I think are in the $ 12-18 Range.

In general, the dollar store sells the metals that tend to bend and deform. And platelets fall. The plastic frames tend to become more resilient so unless you lose them constantly as I do, the plastic ones are generally better.

The ferry is $ 68 per person round trip I think. The ferry is about one hour in each direction. We went the week before spring break and they were busy fixing the main street in Avalon.

We hung around the city near the ferry. However, you can rent bicycles or golf carts (not a lot of cars there) and around the island.

If you go, you have to go eat at El Galleon on the main street facing the beach. He gave 5 stars. Can not understand why others do not like this place. Good food and wonderful staff.

Overall, my husband more than I enjoyed Catalina. He would come back sooner than I will. It is really hilly, so if you go, rent a golf cart and go around the island.

Do you have your shopping delivered? If so, I believe that Safeway sells reading glasses. I think they sell the power 2.0. If not I think someone from church or a friend would pick them for you. Report Abuse
