Marquesas! I love them and you can do! I was reading a book the other day (a romance of course) and the author says that the novel has been extremely important in today's world. Romance is the cornerstone upon which love and families are created. A good family loves each other, but large families are couples who are still activily romantic. I Love It!
I read in a book on business, yes, I read every day, this novel is a form of stress relief intelligent and creative mind. He continued by saying that creative, relaxed people tend to be brilliantly clever. I could not agree more.
So, to encourage others to have a strong family and children .... brilliant let me tell you how fabulous four (cheap) canopies for your bedroom.
Asian Canopy (not really Asian, just inspired)
In the shade of bamboo
Mounting Hardware
screwdriver
curtain rod
Take a bamboo / store the branch wideth your headboard. I like the kind with the built in vvalance. Attatch halfway between the foot and the head of your bed on the ceiling with the provided hardware. Attatch a bead curtain to the ceiling (the ceiling or wall - does not really matter - taste)
Thread shadow through the curtain rod to create a draped Nice - leave the rest behind the headboard to create a headboard.
Ta da!
Kid's Pirate cover
muslin cloth
Mardi Gras beads (preferably gold)
red or black bandanas
scissors
four cup hooks
a fishing net (tulle or dirty)
Shred muslin - make it look worn and dirty (or as dirty as you can handle - I am neat freak and can not handle more) rip the netting too.
Attatch the cup hooks one at each corner of the bed in the ceiling.
Use gold beeds to "tie" on the shredded fabric. Stretching in this way and that, on and around the four hooks. You're just going to the sheets in disarray. Add bandanas around well. (I sneaked in some zip ties for more stability) top it off with a Jolly Roger, if you can find one (try Ebay).
My daughter has this - and a wooden bed frame. It seems incredible. All said and done I had the supplies at Walmart for about $ 10.
Canopy Garden Romantic
Sheer Garden Trellis
artificial flowers bulk
Fake butterflies
white sparkling lights
Tulle (6 meters)
Ribbons
A trellis arch is perfect for a single bed. However, if you bed is wider than buying "two lattices and use them together to make a large trellis. I bought a mesh in a box - and simply put them together for the arch over the head of my bed. Play with it. I also discovered that you can only buy PVC pipe that will arch over your bed. (About 16-18 feet of PVC flexible slim - put them in a large flower pot filled with heavy stones or plaster of Paris. Intermingle characters for me.)
Thread the lights flicker, then the tulle on the arcade. Follow with returning to the flowers and butterflies. Add a bow at the center of Nice Droopy twinning extra ribbon on the creation of your imagination.
You can even hang a simple chandilier here, but never LIGHT!
No-Sew Floating Canopy
flat sheet the size of your bed.
Fishing line.
Screw
safety pins.
Bobs Chandelier (or rather corresponding tassles)
In the four corners of your bed facing each other - half way.
Lay the sheet on your bed and adjust it so that curtains around evenly. safety pins put it on the four corners. Using four strands of fishing line to cut exactly the same length (about 1.5 feet go) attach them on the safety pins.
Marked wrap two inches on the fishing line - this amount in the SCR.
