There is no better. Is an individual thing. You should see what you like, and then read the label!
I worked in the country's largest retailers of ski wear for many years and has spent many years of skiing in the Alps of Europe, I think I know hats, and everyone, lol.
Basically, do not sting "natural" means that you must "Merino wool products. This wool is the best because the fibers are long, absolutely no itching, and wool is a natural insulator, keeping you warm even when wet. "Wool Smart" is the brand leader, but others will too, as it says explicitly "Merino" wool, or at least a large percentage of it.
The second option is "polar" which is basically made of polyester. Synthetic. very light and warm, not shrink. And if you want real warmth, something that covers your ears too .... Enjoy!

There is no particular brand that has higher caps but the products of The North Face, Helly Hansen, and Neckgaitor are generally allowed.
