Chill Out in June - is National Iced Tea Month! For the grateful person, there are millions of things to be thankful for every day. Fortunately the authorities to be (although we do not know exactly who they are) have resolved all the things that have blessed our lives so that we can take note of them one at a time. They are organized by date, and they are many that have happened recently that you can not have been aware of.
For example, did you celebrate National Star Wars Day at the beginning of this month? Or how about National Poetry day on April 28? So who could have perhaps forgotten National Pancake Day on February 23? One of our favorites, and yours too, I hope, gets up immediately and this holiday is so great that it warrants a month of celebration. That's right, June is National Iced Tea month! Get your glasses and big cubes of frozen ready, because we pay over that long every month!
Why celebrate the iced tea, you ask? For the same reasons, we are celebrating Star Wars and pancakes - they are simply good. It is iced tea, and especially during the month of June, when the glass chilled sweats almost as much as we do. Nothing better accompanies the summer heat, the cool, crisp cash gain from our body temperature and the slap of caffeine helps us gather the energy to control our summer work.
There are various ways to make and enjoy a drink, and most people are bitter behind their methods as they would their political or religious ideas. If you are South, you probably would not have thought to make tea without sugar equally. If the stirring spoon does not stand two seconds, continue to add to the prize! If you lived in Arizona for a while, you're likely partial vats of iced tea brewed in the sun all morning. You may also use a dozen tea bags by large jar of water. I forgive you for the bags of tea. However, we can move forward.
For the month of June, celebrating stepping outside the box and to dissolve the walls that divide us, tea lovers. It is easier to be creative with iced tea as you think, and, more importantly, it's fun. And with a whole month to experience, you can find countless ways to enjoy one of America's favorite beverage. Let me help you get started with a few ideas:
- Think grass green and white balls. It's true, I mean the classic Arnold Palmer. For those of you who do not know, they are parts of black tea and lemonade equality simply poured over ice. Why not be the best of both worlds?
- The British were right, do not be afraid to add milk to your tea! However, try this: black tea brew your very strong, add the sugar and pour it into a glass filled with ice, about two thirds complete. top it with a layer of evaporated whole milk. This is called a "Thai iced tea. 'Between the strength of the tea and the sweetness of sugar and cream, you will not need more than one!
- Add to the mix! Who said the iced tea would be just the tea leaves, water, sugar and lemon? Add what you want to try, fresh basil or mint from the garden. Shave fresh ginger in the pot for a hint of spice. Muddle few fresh berries and add to the mix! You do not even need to use many herbs in tea can be prepared in the same way (think hibiscus). Try yerba mate, lemongrass, mint and in its place.
- Spike him. Do not be afraid. In fact, the first glass of iced tea enjoyed in America were accompanied by liquor, and they were called "punch". This goes back to the early 1800s, and the drinks were popularized about a century later during prohibition. Talk about making fun of tea! Try a variety of flavored vodkas, the tea of your choice, and a dash of lemon, all on the ice, of course. Ready.
