Transition lens? I wanted to do this weekend, but I wanted to know if anyone else had and what do you think? Worth buying?
I am an expert in this field and I think they are overrated. Just think for years we used glass lenses photogrey and they worked very well. Now they come with a way to make you spend more for your dollar. Plastic lenses are lighter.
I have a pair of gray transitions, they also come in brown, but they remain in the car 90% of the time.I do not use them. When I drive I use a pair of blueblockers STOP the light of day or night. They are much cheaper and perform 100% better. If you want to change lenses fine, but they do not stop glare especially at night. When you pass a car with their headlamps, you'll see that you are not protected during the night. As I said, a waste of money!
I do not like the way you are expert I really think it's different for every customer .. I had three pairs over the years and I love the transition lenses, it does not affect my vision at night (I have night blindness) and I do not like the brightness in the day! I recommend them! Flag
Just to add. As mentioned previously, the objective becomes dark in the UV. In countries like Australia where there are large amount of UV light, the lens dark much darker than in Asia. The amount of light is not equal to the amount of UV rays.
Yes, when you drive, you must set the lens specs on the heart. Report Abuse
Yes, they are great. I just get cheap in recent years and I do not like the amount of money they charge you. They work very well.
Ive had transitions for something like 5 years now. They are great. Only complaint I have with them is because it takes them so long to transition. They arent as dark as normal colors, but they do the job. They are worth it if your eyes are sensitive to sunlight like others, but then that just a pair of sunglasses script. So I recommend getting the stuff on scratch-resistant lenses or it screws with the color when you scratch
I have them and have had no problems with them, they darken when you go out and "restore" themselves when you go inside.
transition their objective lenses, you do not need to buy a pair of sunglasses, because you just need a pair. They also have a scratch resistant coating constructed, and are 100% UV protection, which is great, but personally I do not like. Remember they do not get as dark sunglasses, especially when you're driving, because your windshield ray filters U. V that trigger the transitions, as they do not become completely clear indoors. Remember that transitions are built into the lens, so if you do not love them, you will need to purchase a new set of lenses, and vice versa, if you change your mind.
I just got my first pair of Transitions lenses a few months ago. I've also covered an anti-reflective lens treament of the Zeiss optics. The darkening effect will help with the sun during the day and the anti-glare coating to protect your eyes during the night against the glare of headlights while driving and also helps eliminate glare on your lenses any light source and the brightness of your computer screen.
I do not really love or hate. I like they are getting darker outside, but they take several minutes to clear the inside. I usually remove them before they touch you to save (my eyes.
