Best equipment for motorcycle during winter? Looking for some women gear for cold weather. No rain or snow, I live in Northern California. I have a textile jacket and pants. I know I need to get gloves with longer sleeves and a hood. Is a nice thick leather jacket and pants with warmer layers of textile with my diapers? Please any suggestions on style and the brand will be great. I do not want heated gears, but other suggestions for winter clothes would be too great. Thank you
I live in Northern California too!
Firstly it is useful to have a fairing or at least one windshield. This is half the battle there.
I have a leather jacket and I put a sweater over it. Traps sweater with a layer of hot air and I'm very comfortable. A cloth jacket may be just as good but if the air comes through it, you need a windbreaker or a little sweater, maybe inside the jacket. jackets (some "mesh" to have been riding a removable liner. With the shirt and sweater, they are pretty hot!) More heavy winter gloves.
In California, I think it is better to make layers, especially in winter. Riding the East Bay to the coast or the mountains, you go from hot to freezing, back to hot. So if I take a day-long trip that I wear all my layers and change, if any. My leather jacket, my jacket mesh, the lining of the jacket knit, knitting, and two pairs of gloves, gloves, summer and winter. So I'm ready for anything.
I have thick socks (for the hike, I think) but I did not use them because I did not really need them.
One thing I learned in the years to skiing there, if your hands and feet are cold, put another layer on your chest. If your hands and feet are cold, it means that your whole body is cold, you feel first in the hands and feet.
First report of winter clothing as well assign other brand gear. If you go up in 40f weather closely so I'll tell you what I wear. http://www.motorhelmets.com/htm-combos/f ... yeah Killamanjaro check the spelling, a link will lead you. The important thing is to buy something larger then you need undernieth layers, it will work every time. Leather is the protection of high wind, but stops cold. During 10 minutes of sound OK, and then enters the cold and your in trouble. Now, a leather interior with isolated (removable) and big enough to put a sweater is great.
Also gloves, winter gloves Im talking about the wind passing through the couture and freezing fingers, make the best of it, and then need to come on the sleeves to stop air from getting in.
Oh yes, vest, zipper with velcro flap that covers all the zippers and pockets, there is frost, so he is in. neck, neck set up in the headphones.
Headphones, close the vents al need a face mask (front prefs) but when you stop it mist be able to lift a little face shield or inside smoke / gel and you must stop as soon as possible and wipe.
good shoes, no Steel Toes, jeans pants good though Ive worn with leggings and they worked one hour or less. Make sure the pants usually burned on the pipes because you do not even know it happened and then they will be ruined.
about local bike shops, a couple of them. Bs Some will, but others who drive in winter will know what you need, and less expensive YOUCAN impunity.
Good luck!
Your textiles should be good. Outer layer blocks wind, not much more. A warning about stratification: Do you assume, especially in the area of the upper body. Your jacket must not be tight with your clothes underneath. barrier layers do not function well. I double-up on thermal leggings, add a pair of sweatpants. Top of Los Angeles.
